How do you become a Platinum ICAR?
Platinum recognition is achieved when ProLevel 3 is completed for collision repair technicians. Platinum status is maintained with the completion of required Annual Training courses for each year of renewal.
How many areas of training are offered in the i-car Platinum certification program for repair Tech's?
I-CAR offers Platinum Individual certification in six collision repair technician roles: estimator; non-structural technician; steel structural technician; refinish technician; aluminum structural technician; and electrical/mechanical technician.
How do you become a gold ICAR?
If a shop employs at least one each of the above who have received a Platinum Certification from I-CAR in their area of expertise, then the shop as a whole is eligible for Gold status. You can count on an I-CAR Gold Class shop to spend less time on your car and provide better results.
